Victoria Dietz
APSW, CD(DONA)
I’m so glad you found your way to Lavender & Ivy Wellness! My name is Victoria (she/they) and I am a queer-identifying mental health therapist and doula based in Madison, WI.
A little about me: I am originally from Minnesota and attended Wartburg College, where I completed my bachelors degree in social work and political science in 2023. I then earned my masters degree in social work & direct practice mental health at UW-Madison in 2024. In my free time, I love gymnastics, reading mystery novels, knitting while watching reality TV, and spending time with my partner and our two dogs, Mango (a corgi) & Cisco (a labrador retriever)!
As a therapist, I believe you are the expert in your own life and approach therapy as a collaborative experience. I aim to show up authentically and not as a blank slate therapist. I encourage clients to also show up as they are, including using fidgets during session, cozying up with a blanket and socks, or bringing in their favorite coffee or tea.
In my work as a doula, I truly enjoy getting to know and support parents throughout their pregnancy and postpartum journey. Birth can be beautiful and empowering and I hope to create that type of experience for my clients. I also believe that it is important to feel supported not only in labor, but as new parents at home. Navigating parenthood can feel overwhelming and I hope to create space for those emotions, while also providing the support to help ease them.

Most therapists are only therapists and most doulas are only doulas. But I do both! I think that having trained as both a doula and therapist provides me with a unique perspective when supporting families. In both roles, I get to support people where they are and help them find empowerment in their journeys!
